Start Mocking.

As the website has been developing, I have produced a quick mock up of how the products produced for the info brief could be sold. As the brief was not for a particular client, I became that client and put my own branding on them.

As most of us are probably getting an ipad this Christmas (hopefully) this could be a great tool for putting myself into peoples hands. In this case it could be some sort of app that shows my portfolio and advertises myself and also link to the online shop for the products.

Print Day

Yes its print day! And now seems there is a lot more off my mind.

I printed all finished artwork once I had my crit. I was really happy with the quality of the print.
Speaking to James is a huge help before printing and to find out what would work well to accompany what it was I wanted to achieve.

I have always wanted to print something on canvas, and my clothes tags was the opportunity. It was a great stock to work with and was really pleased how these have turned out.... I need string now.

I quickly created some stickers as part of my packaging. These would be used to seal the T-shirts in their packaging.

Stick To The Plan

After reading my crit feedback, it seemed that the other members of the group were not sure what I was producing? So before loosing my soul, I wrote down every possible outcome I was aiming to produce.

Tag, Your It

Tags which are pinned to the label of the shirt.
The type and logo would be in a coated colour and could be applied in a range different colours.

Mock-Up

The initial idear for the posters was to screen print them, but when I went to the print department and found out what was the best method, the type on the posters would be hard to screen-print. So Plan B came into action and decided to produce a range of different t-shirts displaying 3 different images of the boat. I then thought I could put my own branding name onto the t-shirts, I took this idea to the crit and was one of my questions I presented to the group.

"Should I apply my own branding label to the design?'

'no' ...  but I want to so...  I am.

One batch of the t-shirts was designed to show what colours are in the boat and wanted to bring in a different element of print which is, to screen print a plain image of the boat and then with fabric spray paint, spray over the image in blue and beige. (the colour of the sofas)
