Work?

My Crit sesson gave me a clearer view on what i needed to take forward into the next stage. Here is a last test stage of my final ident.

The text comes into view with the tempo of the music, which relates to the 'And now for something completely different' (Monty Python) Title sequence. The ending of the ident shows the BBC flattening the titles revealing what channel or broadcaster is hosting the movie season and a small harmless farting noise to add a bit of humor.

getting there

Using the Typeface if have created for the Movie Season Idents, I have created the DVD interface in the same way. Keeping the Color palette simple and relating to the Monty Python Title sequences gives it a clean exciting feel to the interface. I think it works well.

Interface text

First I created an alphabet for the Monty Python Movie season. It is a similar typeface used on the 'And now for something completely different' titles. I thought re-creating this would tie in the overall Monty Python look.

Once the words were created i then copied them over to another document which were then re-sized, colored and aligned in their particular shape/format. These could then be taken to Indesign for the DVD cover or Photoshop to then be transferred to create the DVD interface.

fACe!

Each face being animated for example popped out like a flower/s (which was another idea i had in mind). These were cut out of the clip to then be layered in photoshop. Adding inner and outer shadows creates depth with each face as I have managed to do to with Jerry Jones's head as an example.

I have managed to create a Typeface which has a resemblance to the title sequence used in the 'And now for something completely different' (Monty Python). Each word has a white outline and areas where ther is a white fill in the negative area around them.
